First-look images have been released showing Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn and Harris Dickinson portraying the members of The Beatles in an ambitious new biopic project. Titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, the series will consist of four interconnected films, each directed by British film-maker Sir Sam Mendes and focused on the lives and careers of the iconic band.

Images shared by Sony Pictures UK reveal Mescal as Sir Paul McCartney, Keoghan as Sir Ringo Starr, Quinn as George Harrison and Dickinson as John Lennon. The actors appear styled in recognisable 1960s fashion, with period haircuts, clothing and instruments reflecting the early years of the band. The visual presentation aims to capture both the individuality of each musician and their collective identity as the Fab Four.
The Beatles, formed in Liverpool in 1960, remain the best-selling musical act of all time and are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in music history. The group achieved 18 UK number one singles and 15 UK number one albums, leaving a lasting cultural legacy that continues to shape popular music decades later.

The films are scheduled for release in April 2028 and will also feature Aimee Lou Wood, Saoirse Ronan, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Anna Sawai in roles including Pattie Boyd, Linda McCartney, Maureen Starkey and Yoko Ono. Further casting details, including who will portray figures such as Brian Epstein and George Martin, are expected to be announced at a later date.
