Former One Direction members Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have both reached number one in the UK charts, marking a significant milestone in their solo careers. The chart success comes 15 years after One Direction first topped the singles chart with What Makes You Beautiful. Tomlinson described himself as “incredibly grateful” to fans for supporting his second chart-topping album, following the success of Faith In The Future in 2022. The achievement highlights the sustained popularity of former band members as individual artists.
Styles’ latest single is the lead track from his forthcoming album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, due for release in March. He is also preparing for an expanded run of shows at Wembley Stadium this summer, with 12 dates scheduled as part of his world tour, potentially setting a new record for performances at the venue by a solo artist.
