DJ Fat Tony has said that Nicola Peltz Beckham left her wedding in tears after her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, danced with her husband, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. The DJ, who performed at the three-day celebration, explained that US singer Marc Anthony asked “the most beautiful woman in the room” to join Brooklyn on stage, which guests had assumed would be for Nicola’s first dance. Instead, Victoria joined him, prompting Nicola to leave the room crying.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Fat Tony described the moment as “inappropriate” due to the timing. He added that Brooklyn was “devastated” and the dance involved typical Latin movements, which made the situation awkward for everyone present. The DJ clarified that there was no overtly theatrical or Spice Girl-style performance; the discomfort arose purely from the unexpected turn of events.
The incident follows claims from Brooklyn that his parents, Sir David and Lady Beckham, have controlled family narratives in the media and interfered in his relationship. He said he felt his wife had been “disrespected” and stated he does not wish to reconcile with his parents. Brooklyn also alleged that Lady Beckham danced “inappropriately” on him and that Nicola had been excluded from his father’s 50th birthday celebration.

Sir David responded to the claims in an interview with CNBC, emphasising that he tries to educate his children about responsible use of social media and allows them to make mistakes as part of learning. He highlighted his work with UNICEF as an example of using his platform positively. The Beckhams’ other children include Cruz, Romeo, and Harper. Both Brooklyn and the couple have been contacted for comment.
