The 45-year-old made the comments while promoting his new thriller Josephine, in which he plays a father-figure character. He explained that aspects of the role were influenced by his own upbringing, drawing inspiration from his relationship with his father alongside elements of his own personality.
Tatum has also spoken candidly about his long-standing struggles with self-belief in Hollywood. Despite being one of the industry’s most recognisable actors, he has previously said that he often feels undeserving of his success and surprised by the scale of his career.
