The interruption occurred mid-break, when the seven-time world champion paused to adjust the garment before walking out of the arena, causing a short delay.

Play resumed after several minutes, with O’Sullivan returning following adjustments to his attire. Despite the disruption, he recovered composure quickly and secured the opening frame. The match, held in Yushan, China, saw him maintain control as proceedings continued.

O’Sullivan produced a series of strong performances, including breaks of 83 and 114, and came close to achieving a maximum 147 break before a positional error ended the attempt. He ultimately recorded a convincing 5–1 victory, demonstrating consistent form despite the earlier distraction.
