Claudia Winkleman has compared The Traitors winners Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy to “Bonnie and Clyde”, highlighting their close alliance throughout the BBC series. The presenter selected the pair as Traitors at the beginning of the competition and later reflected on how their partnership helped them outmanoeuvre the remaining Faithfuls.

Speaking on the spin-off programme The Traitors: Uncloaked, Winkleman described their bond as unusually strong and emotionally compelling. She noted that, from the outset, the pair quietly supported one another and formed an alliance that endured for the entire series, unlike shorter-lived partnerships seen in previous seasons.
Stephen and Rachel reportedly agreed never to write each other’s names during the roundtable discussions and worked together to eliminate several contestants, including James Baker, Jade Scott, Faraaz Noor and Jack Butler. Following their victory, Winkleman praised them for remaining loyal to one another despite both playing the role of Traitor.

The broadcaster, who is responsible for choosing the Traitors at the start of each series, has previously explained that the decision-making process is shared with the programme’s producers. She has also acknowledged enjoying the tension created during the selection process, admitting that heightening suspense has become an unexpectedly addictive part of her role.
